In-Depth Analysis Report of Costs Borne by Vietnamese Workers for Employment Abroad: Statistical Sustainable Development Goal Indicator 10.7.1
The National Statistics Office (NSO), Ministry of Finance, has published the report In-depth Analysis of Costs Borne by Vietnamese Workers for Employment Abroad: Statistical Sustainable Development Goal Indicator 10.7.1, prepared with technical support from IOM, funded by the European Union and the Government of Sweden.
Based on the 2025 Labour Force Survey and the 2025 In-depth Survey of Migrant Workers, the NSO report examines workers’ costs of obtaining employment abroad relative to their first-month earnings. This indicator helps assess migrant workers’ financial burden and supports monitoring of SDG target 10.7 and evidence-based labour migration governance in Viet Nam.

Note: As the UN Viet Nam website allows only UN entities to be listed under “Published by,” IOM is identified in this field in recognition of its technical support for the report. The report remains an official publication of the National Statistics Office (NSO).
