To develop an application based on digital platform (Digital and Mobile Program) on Disaster Risk Management and climate change adaptation for children and their care givers – Kids Meet Gods Program

Scope of work

• Develop an educational program on disaster risk management and adaptation to climate change for children, teachers and caregivers on a digital platform in the form of interactive game-based education ("KIDS MEET GODS" program)
• Collaborate with the Ministry of Education and Training to develop materials to be integrated in the formal extracurricular educational program.
• Announce the Program during the National Week on Natural disaster prevention and control in May 2019;
• In order to achieve above objectives, the Vietnam Disaster Management Authority suggested that the UNICEF shall support this activity given its comparative advantage in the field of children's right protection in both context of development assistance and humanitarian assistance. UNICEF has committed to support capacity building for the Government of Viet Nam for improved preparedness, quick and effective response during disaster events, taking into account the best interests of children who are also among the most disadvantaged groups in the context of climate change and natural disasters.
• In addition, the activity requires support of competent experts with sound knowledge of education, child psychology and physiology who have extensive and intensive knowledge of disaster risk management, climate change adaptation, natural disaster prevention and control systems of Vietnam and in-depth knowledge of information technology and development of applications on digital platforms
