UNESCORecruitment of one (01) National Project Officer for Natural Sciences Programme
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, is a specialised international agency that was founded in 1945. Through its activities within the fields of education, social and natural science, culture and communication and information, UNESCO is actively contributing to the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, UNESCO’s Medium Term Strategy 2014-2020 and the 2017-2021 One Strategic Plan of the UN in Viet Nam.
The UNESCO Natural Science section focus on implement major programmes related to freshwater, marine, ecological, earth and basic sciences while also promoting innovative technology and capacity-building initiatives in these fields. Under the project “Youth for Zero waste in Vietnam’s UNESCO designated sites”, UNESCO will empower Youth in combating with the environmental issues in UNESCO designated sites, as a joint action of UN’s efforts to supports the Government of Vietnam in marine litter management. The project starts in early 2020, and will be implemented in UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserves with piloting in the Hoi An – Cu Lao Cham MAB Reserve.
In this regard, UNESCO is looking for a National Project Officer to undertake the implementation of the project “Youth for zero waste in UNESCO designated sites in Viet Nam” in 2020.
