UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Katy Perry to visit Viet Nam to participate in Forbes Viet Nam inaugural Under 30 Summit under the theme “The Next Generation”

Katy Perry, UNICEF's Goodwill Ambassador and global pop superstar, is making a special stop-over from her world concert tour, which is currently in Asia, to participate in the Forbes Under 30 Summit and "Katy Perry, is coming to Viet Nam in her role as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador to encourage Viet Nam's next generation of young leaders and entrepreneurs in speaking out about shaping their own future, elevating their voices on issues that they believe are the most important in their own lives, said Jepser Moller, Deputy Representative UNICEF Viet Nam.

Under the theme: "The Next Generation", Forbes Viet Nam's Under 30 Summit will focus on the young generation, those who were born in the 70's and 80's forward. A full day conference including keynote speeches, on –stage interviews and panel discussions will discuss the identity of this generation, their opportunities and challenges, their dreams and goals and their leadership visions.

UNICEF, IDG Ventures Viet Nam and YAN are strategic partners with Forbes Viet Nam in organizing this Summit. By participating in this Summit, UNICEF will further promote the voice of young people and their role in improving the lives of future generations.

"Forbes Viet Nam's Under 30 Summit brings together the future leaders of this generation, encourages their entrepreneurship, and helps them unleash their potential by providing visions and insights from the top leaders in their fields," Mr. Nguyễn Bảo Hoàng, chairman of Interactive Media Limited Company, which helps publish Forbes Vietnam magazine, said.

The Summit is expected to welcome a keynote speech from a top ranking state leader; speakers and panelists include successful international and Vietnamese entrepreneurs, outstanding thinkers, social activists and youth leaders.

Some 800 participants who are future leaders of this next generation will join the Under 30 Summit in a whole day conference which also includes start-up business contests and art performances.

In February 2015, Forbes Vietnam released its debut 30 Under 30 List, which highlighted outstanding young people under 30 years old in various field. The 30 Under 30 List, as well as the Under 30 Summit, is a part of Forbes Vietnam's effort to promote entrepreneurship and leadership among young people in Vietnam.
