United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres’s letter to President of Viet Nam

Excellency,

I would like to express my condolences to you and to the people of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam for the loss of life and widespread damage caused by the recent floods in the central provinces.

Allow me to commend the efforts undertaken by your Government to assist the people affected by this calamity, and to assure you that, if requested, the United Nations stands ready to provide additional humanitarian support to the ongoing relief efforts at this critical time.
