Ha Noi, November 1, 2024 – Today, in a historic stride for gender equality in Viet Nam, the Viet Nam Women’s Union and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) – in partnership with the Viet Nam Journalists Association – launched the 2024 National Press Award for Gender Equality. This is Viet Nam’s first journalism award dedicated to gender equality, aiming to harness the power of the media to spark transformative changes across the nation.
Ca Mau, November 5, 2024 – In response to the severe impacts of drought and saltwater intrusion, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and the Government of Japan are partnering to support 7,200 residents, especially vulnerable women, in the provinces of Ca Mau and Ninh Thuan.
