Ha Noi, 16 December 2016 - The Center for Knowledge Assistance and Community Development (CKACD), has been honored for receiving the 2016 UNESCO King Sejong Literacy Prize for its programme Books for rural areas of Viet Nam, building libraries in rural and disadvantaged areas to help the neo-literate maintain their reading capacity.

Viet Nam, 5 December 2016 – The Practices related to the Việt beliefs in the Mother Goddesses of Three Realms was among the sixteen new elements that have been inscribed to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. The inscription followed the decisions adopted by the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage that took place during its 11th meeting from 30 November to 3 December 2016 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Hue City, 24 November 2016 - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST), in cooperation with UNESCO and the British Council in Viet Nam, jointly coordinated a policy dialogue on the development of creative hubs in Viet Nam, particularly in major cities such as Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City and Hue.
