Ha Noi, 31 May, 2016 – The Government of Japan has decided to provide a US $ 2,500,000 grant in support of UNICEF's emergency interventions in response to the drought and salt water intrusion with the goal to reduce acute malnutrition and improve the supply and quality of water in most affected areas. The water interventions will target 150,000 people and nutrition activities will target 120,000 pregnant women and 7,000 children.

Ha Noi, Viet Nam, 11 July 2016 – UNICEF and K-Pop giant S.M. Entertainment have signed today a Memorandum of Understanding agreeing to cooperate over the next three years to strengthen inclusive education in Viet Nam. The South Korean entertainment company will make a financial contribution of US$450,000 (approximately VND 10 Billion) to support UNICEF's Growing with Music project. The partnership is built on shared values to uphold children's rights and will emphasize on the positive impact of music on the development of lifeskills and values for children starting from early childhood.
