  • Hanoi, 12 June 2019 - 72 enterprises from 4 Industrial Parks in the northern province of Ninh Binh, the Mekong Delta province of Can Tho and Da Nang City have adopted resource efficient and cleaner production technologies and practices. As a result, the annual savings for these companies exceed USD 6.5 million/year.

Saving the Earth: Children create superhero to fight against natural disasters and climate change
  • HA NOI, 28 June, 2019 – UNICEF and Viet Nam Disaster Management Authority (VDMA) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (VDMA) and the National Young Pioneer Council (NYPC) are inviting children from 10-15 years of age from across Viet Nam to participate in the new comic contest to create a superhero to fight against natural disasters and climate change.

25 years of the International Conference on Population and Development: Accelerating the promise

Ethnic minorities contribute to review of historic women’s rights document
  • Ha Noi, 11 July 2019 – Today, the Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs (CEMA) and UN Women held a consultation workshop in support of Viet Nam's review of the report on the 25-year implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action and invited ethnic minorities to share their perspective. The Beijing Platform for Action is one of the world's most comprehensive documents on women's rights and empowerment. The workshop was funded by Irish Aid Viet Nam.
