UN in Viet Nam rallies partners to take a stand against sexual violence on the International Day to End Violence against Women
  • HA NOI, 25 November 2019 – From 25 November, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, to 10 December, multiple events will be taking place nationwide - such as policy dialogues and workshops, art competitions, a photo exhibition, university talk-shows, public-friendly sport games and dancing with youth, to urge actions to end sexual violence against women and girls in Viet Nam.

7th ASEAN-UN WORKSHOP- 5th REGIONAL DIALOGUE ON POLITICAL-SECURITY COOPERATION (AURED V)
  • Ha Noi, Tuesday 3rd December 2019 - Ahead of Viet Nam’s accession to the Chair of ASEAN in 2020, senior officials from ASEAN governments, experts from ASEAN various institutions, including two former Secretaries-Generals of ASEAN, and senior officials from the United Nations as well as other external partners have come together in Ha Noi to discuss cooperation in support of the work of the ASEAN-Institute for Peace and Reconciliation, including in conflict management and conflict resolution.

  • Ha Noi – 6 December 2019 – Today, over 80 experts from governmental agencies, local organizations international organizations, and academia gathered in Ha Noi to join “The launching workshop on the review of the National Strategy on Gender Equality and the development of the new National Strategy on Gender Equality 2021-2030”, jointly held by Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and the Australian Embassy.
