Workshop to launch the report “Towards a comprehensive national policy for an ageing in Viet Nam”
  • HA NOI, 29/3/2019 – a national workshop to launch the report "Towards a comprehensive national policy for an ageing in Viet Nam" was held today in Ha Noi by the Viet Nam National Committee on Ageing and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Viet Nam. This report analyzes population ageing in Viet Nam and its impacts and provides policy suggestions necessary for responding to this demographic trend.

  • Ha Noi, April 17th 2019 - On occasion of Viet Nam's Day for People with Disabilities - April 18th 2019, Viet Nam Federation on Disability (VFD), Action to the Community Development Center (ACDC), Disability Research and Capacity Development (DRD) and Disabled People's Organization of Ha Noi co-organized the workshop: "Access for all" in Ha Noi. The event gathered about 200 people from different government agencies; United Nations Development Programme in Viet Nam (UNDP); Australian Embassy; national and international non – governmental organizations; organizations of and for people with disabilities; many groups, assemblies of people with disabilities and people with disabilities themselves.

UNICEF, VCCI and businesses share promising family-friendly workplace policies and practices to promote child rights
  • HO CHI MINH CITY, 16 April 2019 – The Good Business Practice Forum co-organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and UNICEF today served as a platform for more than 100 businesses and key business stakeholders to share international and national good practices, lessons learned and ways forward to promote child rights through family-friendly workplace policies and practices.

Policy recommendations to promote gender equality in the Socio-Economic Development Plan in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2025 period with vision to 2030
  • Da Nang, May 23, 2019 – Today, in Da Nang, the Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs (CEMA) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) Viet Nam held the workshop on Mainstreaming Gender in Socio-economic development Plan in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, and geographical areas with extremely difficult socio-economic conditions for the 2021-2025 period with vision to 2030. This workshop, organized with the financial support of Irish Aid in Viet Nam, received the participation of 30 delegates from 8 provinces and cities nationwide representing Ethnic Minority Committees at the provincial and district levels.
