- HA NOI, 17/11/2020 – On the occasion of the National Action Month on Gender Equality and Prevention of Violence Against Women and Girls, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) and the Viet Nam National Symphony Orchestra will organize a Symphony Concert “Girls Deserve to Shine” on Friday, 27/11/2020 from 8.00pm to 10.00pm at the Ha Noi Opera House. This concert is the initiative between the Government of Viet Nam and UNFPA in joining hands to raise public awareness and increase the value of the girl child within the context of addressing domestic violence and gender-biased sex selection in Viet Nam.

- HA NOI, 18 November 2020 – The International Workshop on Strengthening Stakeholders Cooperation in Promoting Active Ageing and Mental Health in ASEAN was opened today in Ha Noi by the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), the United Nation Population Fund (UNFPA), and the World Health Organization (WHO). The workshop was organized as an event of Viet Nam chairmanship of ASEAN 2020 to share experience and strengthen cooperation among stakeholders in promoting active ageing and mental health for older persons in ASEAN community.
