6th November 2023, Ha Noi, Viet Nam – Today marks a historic gathering of government leaders, officials, and representatives from various ministries, international organizations, UN agencies, provinces, academia, and social organizations, numbering over 200, convened to champion the cause of women's empowerment and peace in Viet Nam. The assembly was convened to discuss and actively contribute to the formulation of the first National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security (NAP WPS). The workshop is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is supported by UN Women in Viet Nam, together with Canada and United Kingdom’s governments.

Hanoi, 24 October 2023 – Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam praised the long-standing collaboration between the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Government of Viet Nam to transform rural lives and livelihoods in the country. At an event marking three decades of partnership, during which Viet Nam has achieved impressive economic development, he said, "IFAD's long-standing collaboration with Viet Nam has been instrumental in driving sustainable development in rural areas. With IFAD’s support, we have seen remarkable improvement in agricultural productivity and poverty reduction, which has also empowered rural communities."

Ho Chi Minh City, October 12, 2023 – Today, over 100 representatives from various enterprises, business associations, government ministries, and provincial departments gathered to deliberate on strategies aimed at bolstering women-owned businesses' integration into supply chains and advancing gender equality principles within procurement processes.
Ha Noi, October 5, 2023 – In a pioneering initiative, UN Women Viet Nam has joined forces with the Center for Natural Resources and Environment Communication at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to introduce a “Song Writing Contest” aimed at championing gender equality in Viet Nam. The competition aims to amplify the message of equality, respect, and the realization of dreams, regardless of gender.
